I am NOT a tax consultant or expert. This is simply from my understanding and experience. As far as I know you would pay taxes on the crypto sold. Bovada does not report winnings. Crypto platforms however do. Once you sell the crypto and send it to your bank account it is taxable. If you withdraw, from Bovada, via Crypto and hold it for 1 year before selling you are no longer subject to Capital Gains Tax. Anything sold without holding for 1 year is subject too Capital gains tax, which is usually between 10%-40% of the sold amount. So Sell $100 pay $40 in taxes. May not always be the 40%, but best to save 40% of what you sell so you are covered come tax time. Most times the IRS wants the taxed amount to be paid shortly after selling (just like it is deducted from a paycheck), otherwise they can implement interest on past due payments. Very similar to selling stocks. Hope this helps. Good problem to have. Congrats on your winnings. Life changing money.

Wonder why people are so astonished by a $2 bet ? According to the rules in the disclaimer any amount bet can win it… what would be the difference if that was a $20 bet? Are you all saying that would change something or trigger the algorithm in a different way ? Just curious

From my understanding the jackpot is triggered by how much the game brings in, not how much it stands to pay out. So for example: a game can have a 10K jackpot, but wont pay out the jackpot until the game has brought in say 20K. If the game has brought in $19,985. It would take 8-$2 spins to reach the triggering amount, were as 1-$20 spin would trigger the jackpot. It’s not that it isn’t possible, it’s just less likely.

I’m currently on one of the coldest streaks in Bovada history. I haven’t won since 27-Nov-24 and down $43k total. Tonight I finally hit the jackpot wheel… I don’t even understand how a $20 win is legal on a jackpot wheel.
