You don’t even know the issue, you don’t know the complexity of their code base, and what they have to do.
Clearly it’s not ideal but no one here knows. They could be dealing with unknown log4j compatibility issues and having to go update the entire codebase to get things back up

They do loos a lot from this outage. This is gambling and not every thing goes infovor of customer. They will make hard attempt to bring the site back up running

Honestly, for me, this did actually happen on a day I would’ve won a bunch, i tracked what id bet, so it really sucks, but it could’ve been the opposite. I do hope there is some sort of a “bonus” just bc that is the right thing to do, goodwill and all, I’m sure it costed many others like myself but either way, money was tied up no matter what, and that’s not cool. What that “bonus” should be, I don’t know yet but I could help if bovada needs it (we all get large bonuses)…let’s see what happens. I would expect something after reading the twitter posts, maybe I’m reading that wrong.
I agree with @Acehole72976 and his points, ideally we get to use the money we have in the site, but let’s just chill and see what happens here, we can’t bet tonight (or all day today), that’s it, it’s really too bad but that’s the situation, hopefully it’s up for tomorrow. I do love betting and like making money so I am a bit disappointed.

Man, you are such a joke! Not the only one, for sure, but you are definnitely at the top of the entitlement list. Bovada doesn’t need to compensate you for anything. They should fine you for every insult you’ve hurled their way. Systems go down; it happens. Whatever they were doing didn’t work and it all went south. Nobody here has a clue what happened, and having spent my entire career in IT, I know that IT personnel can’t give an estimate for when things will be back up until very close to when they’re actually up. They have estimates, often accurate, for how long things will take when they go according to plan. When something goes wrong, no one knows squat. They have to figure it out and come up with a solution, and since it’s unplanned and being figured out on the fly, sometimes those solutions go wrong, too. Shit happens. They can’t tell you when until “when” is almost here. And it’s a waste of time and counterproductive to keep bugging the people trying to figure it out so some self-important gambling addict can be told how much “compensation” he “deserves.” 
What a piece of work. The mods don’t know much more than we do. The IT people working on the problem have better uses for their time than to keep the mods and YOU updated every 5 minutes. They’re actually working to fix the problems.
This is an entertainment site. If it goes down, it goes down. You aren’t harmed; they are. If a store I want to shop at closes because they have a fire, I don’t rant and rave and demand they compensate me because I couldn’t shop there.
