I have a futures wager for o82.5 wins for the Rangers that I inquired with Customer Service about in regards to the timing of settlement.

CS noted that although the Rangers have 83 wins, that the bet would not be settled until after the World Series.

I am just curious why the sports book would not pay out a bet once the wager has obviously won. Ginuine question… but why would the sports book withhold the money for another 2 months knowing that they are going to have to pay it out anyways?

Wouldn’t it make sense to just remove the liability from their books, or is that just too simple lol. Just like a normal ML bet, once the bet has been confirmed a winner, why not just pay it out? It doesn’t make sense to me. Ref. 23021684650590
