Three, very non-emergent questions…

  1. How was everyone able to login to the forum during the outage? From my phone, accessing the forum always relies on the SSO token from my successfully verified credentials on the main site. It passes them to the forum and logs me in. Not being able to login to the main site during the outage, I had view only access. It felt like I was 16 with a “no dice” stamp on my hand, peeking into the window of a casino that was on fire and players were rioting. Lol

  2. It’s been a little unclear as to exactly what was being upgraded. Was this a hardware upgrade? A virtual machine upgrade? A code level upgrade? Host upgrade? It literally could have been any of these…

  3. Was the upgrade, whatever it was, backed out and whatever was corrupted/lost, was restored from backup? So then we’re running on a previously stable version of your site? Or did the upgrade fail then were the failures corrected and we’re running on a new instance of whatever was upgraded?
