A past post wager is basically when a certain line is live when it shouldn’t be.
Paul im well aware of that. All those lines were not supposed to be live. Every single one. If i wanted to, I could have bet the score of 1-0 when the score was 7-3. I just do not understand why you are not understanding that every single bet available for correct score should have not been available
This is an example of correct score. Now imagine this being available from the 1st inning and the odds NEVER changing at all. Imagine a team scores 7 runs and no odds change. It remains the exact same. Do you get it now?
Basically what @YandyG is saying Paul is that all these line options were stale lines
They were offered at the start of the game ( all of them ) and then the odds, lines and options were never updated again
But the site only canceled the winning bet and not the losers
Seems pretty obviously correct given the info he’s provided here and the fact lines were being offered at pre game odds even after they couldn’t possibly win anymore
Someone’s is tough to accurately explain your position when you’re heated lol
Been there before
I’m reading this, yea bovada screwed you. I love how all the losing tickets were okay but the one winning ticket was an error, Bovada this is extremely illegal
Interested lurker here! With a lot of web pages, they automatically update as you’re looking at them. But sometimes, they don’t. I often check a Federal Reserve site and it will sometimes show today’s data, and sometimes yesterday’s; in that case, I have to click the refresh button and then it updates, so my browser was serving me up a cached version instead of going out to the requested site and downloading the new one. Is it possible Bovada’s web servers weren’t automatically updating, even if the first server in the chain–the one constantly updating odds–was merrily updating away?
It would seem to me that answer might be no, because it’s one thing to view a page, but when you actually place a bet, you have to directly interact with the appropriate server to interactively have that bet accepted.
This definitely seems like some kind of Bovada infrastructure malfunction to me, and I think OP got bitten by it. I noticed at the top of every forum page there is currently this message:
We are aware that there are wagers waiting to be settled, this is due to a tech issue that happened last night. Our team are working to resolve this as soon as possible.
Any updates will be provided HERE as and when we get them.
Thank you for your patience.
Absolutely
Of it were just 1 bet that’s a different story but this many wagers would mean the server would update after each one in my experience that clearly didn’t occur here which makes the lines stale ( all of them )
By definition according to Bovada itself they should all be voided
@YandyG the issue pertaining to your wager is being looked into by our book managers. We ask for your continued patience while we await that update.
Thank you for your understanding.
Very much appreciated
Wait I am very confused… I thought you just said that its being looked at by the managers? The only win that was credited to my account was a $13 win from yesterday that i could care less about. I am very much concerned with the issue above as mentioned by @Rmilia1 . Are we on the same page?
Your wager dispute is still being looked into. What I am referring to is pending wagers from yesterday that were not already settled.
@Dominic What do i do when I am 1000000000% sure it was past post and you are wrong? I know you think bovada is correct but i am positive they are not. I need instructions on how to proceed.
We’ve reviewed the situation with our sports team, and they confirmed that while the wagers were placed on the same game for the “correct score,” the odds were different. This difference resulted in only a couple of wagers being marked as Past Post, with the rest considered losses because they were not placed as Past Post.
While we understand your concerns about the lines being stale, this factor alone does not indicate a problem with them.
We truly appreciate your understanding and are genuinely sorry for any disappointment caused. Our Customer Support team has already added a bonus to your account for the resettlement of the two Past Post wagers.
I hope this explanation clarifies the situation. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
