Oh i don’t know, maybe explain why account funds have gone missing and its relation to the ddos. I understand maybe they havent received an explanation from tech dept but they should have!

I’m pretty sure they have been private messaging people that have account funds issues. They aren’t going to discuss people’s accounts publicly. And if you think the tech department should give the mods an update, that’s not the mods fault.

If you’re gonna talk down to these people simply having expectations of their book where they put their hard earned money…I will stick up for them. Quit trying to turn it around and play the “elder statesmen” " holier than thou" card. If you treat these people like crap… I’ll put you in your place

Excuse me, but it has only been you that has been the attacker and trying to play the role of the bully. I haven’t named called, I haven’t lied about what I’ve said and anyone can go back and read all of it in full. The term elder statesman is just another way of saying I’ve been here a long time of which I have.

I haven’t told people their opinions are wrong at all, not once. I’ve given information, I’ve given experience. But trying to get through to you is like trying to get through to Amber Heard. You’re creepy weird obsession with me goes way way back. Others see it and tell me to let you have the stage, so the stage is yours.

In your first post in this thread you 100% implied that anyone asking about when compensation would be issued was broke. Once that happened nobody gave one atom of sh1t what else you had to say.

I agree with freaks though. Anybody thinking there’s going to be large compensation is probably going to be disappointed. It would be a bad precedent for Bovada to set. Because if the ddos attacks are mostly out of their control, this can definitely happen again. And they aren’t going to keep handing out large sums of money when it does. They’ll give everybody some compensation, but they aren’t going to open themselves up by setting a standard that can’t be duplicated.

I don’t agree with how Bovada Management has handled this at all.

I would’ve handled this totally different.

The first step I would’ve done is to take the site completely down and had the home page show a message in letter form to exactly what was going on and why the site was taken down.

Something like this:

Players,

At this time, we have taken the site down due to current DDoS attacks. We are also experiencing issues with our software that we are diligently addressing. Rather than give you a sub par experience or a bad experience during these problems, we felt it was better to give our sole attention to working on and fixing the problems.

Rest assured your funds and information are safe. We will give an update when we have something pertinent to report. We will also update our social platforms with any updates.

Thank You for your understanding and patience.

I would’ve sent out the same communication to all active members of the site.

I would’ve fixed the issues, stress tested it and brought the site back up on line after making sure everything worked as it should. Premature openings just to open to see you still have issues isn’t the way to go.

Once and only when this was completed I would re-launch.

I would send out a communication to all players advising the site was back open for business and would compensate the players that were affected.

Each account based on their player status would have some compensation in the account (for those that had a balance or had been active within a week of the issues) and only those players. People that weren’t active members outside of this parameter would receive nothing.

That’s the way it should’ve been handled from the get go.

im an idiot all this aggreavation and we get nothing and im sick i made 2 small deposits said i was not

That’s why people are pissed. Damn site was having so much issues, peoples deposits weren’t going through yet Bovada said nothing, did nothing, and just let people keep dumping money into a site/product that wasn’t fully functional.

The only reason your getting people responding negatively towards you is because of the broke players looking for compensation comment. I completely understand what you were saying tho because so many people who were barely even playing (or not at all) are now jumping in and trying to group themselves in with the players who play everyday and deposit and wager more in a month than they have in years. If your asking for compensation it’s fair because everyone was inconvenienced I. Some way I :100: agree with but don’t start yelling at bovada staff about how you are demanding compensation or you’ll leave or how you want a big bonus when you barely play at all

So from someone who does deposit frequently and play every day…… are we going to be getting some actual compensation or a slap in the face 10% deposit bonus lol

A lot of people seem to be missing the point and the bigger question

Why woupd a site as large as Bovada ( 3.4M bisitors per month ) risk losing even 3% of that customer base by giving bad info and no substantial comp for 2 weeks plus?

I did this before but it bears repeating

If this latest issue costs them 3% of their customers that is 102k people

Even if each person only loses 500 a month here ( a veryyyy low estimate ) that 51M per month, 612M per year, 3B over the course of 5 years and so on

Thats money you never recoup . Ever.

So why would that make sense as a long term business plan?

We know most comp given never gets withdrawn. It gets lost before playthrough or stays on the site

Once someone can explain to me how what Bovada chose to do here makes sense long term ill be quiet

Until then the only viable explanation is something else is happening we arent aware of

Friendly reminder i said after day 4 ic these ossues that this wasnt a simple tech issue ( because it obviously wasnt )
