Hey Everyone,

Welcome to our 2025 NFL Community Survivor Pool — with $5,000 in prizes up for grabs!

For those who have done a survivor pool in the past, it should be relatively similar.

To participate you must join in week one as you will not be able to join in afterwards.

To those who are new to it, here are a few things for you to know:

  1. You make one pick each week and if your pick loses or ties, you will be eliminated. If your team wins, you will move on to the next week.
  2. You must choose a new team each week. Choosing a team in any given week that you’ve already picked in a previous week will get you eliminated. (For example, if you’re still in by week 10, that means you should have chosen 10 different teams). So you have to plan accordingly.
  3. Your pick will have to be selected before the start of the football week; so you have until 1 hour before the first game of the week to get your picks in. Any picks submitted after the deadline will not count, and no exceptions will be given.

More specifics to our survivor pool:

  1. The Prize pool will be a winner take all and the amount will be $5000 in bonuses! If by week 18 there are still a few people left then the prize pool will be split among all players left.
  2. If all remaining players get knocked out in the same week then we will carry it over another week and they will all still be alive but the team they chose will not be able to get picked again. (For example; all 10 people left in week 14 have a losing pick; then all 10 will still be alive the following week.)
  3. If for any reason, you cannot submit your pick through the community survivor page (technical issues, etc.) you can email your pick to moderator@bovada.lv but again, it must be received before the deadline; no exceptions. If you email a pick and make a selection in the Poll, your Poll Pick is what will count.
  4. If you select a team and that game is canceled and not rescheduled for that same week after the deadline of submitting picks; it will result in a pass to the next week but you will not be able to select that team again. If the game is canceled and re-scheduled before the deadline of submitting your picks then you must select a new team. Failing to select a new team will result in elimination.
  5. All players must be forum members and have an active account, should any player be removed from the forum for any reason, or no longer have an active account, they will lose the ability to play going forward.

IMPORTANT Voting will close at 8.15PM ET on Thursday September 18th. Entries will NOT be accepted after the poll has closed.

Why open week 3 already? Was this a mistake? Week 2 has yet to be completed so we don’t know who is elegible to still be in the contest for week 3….

Hi @Kingfishtr, we post the selections week by week. In this case, Week 3 will officially begin on September 18, but we published it a bit earlier to ensure everything is ready in advance. We understand that Week 2 doesn’t conclude until September 15, but since the host mod is currently on vacation, I was assigned to post the Week 3 selection early. Please note that the poll will close before the Week 3 games begin.

Also, we maintain a list of players who advance week by week. While Week 2 won’t be finalized until all games are completed, there’s no need to worry—any player who was eliminated in Week 1 (by selecting a losing or tied team) will remain eliminated, even if they submitted a vote for Week 2. There is a Remove Vote button when you select a team

then it says Results will be shown once closed.Closes in 5 days.

So yes you can change your pick after you make it probably right up til the poll closes…

Hi @threeouts , I got now your point, so basically you can only vote on one team and not multiple but as long as the poll is not closed you can cast your vote but once it is closed there is no option to change it.

I don’t recall being in this competition where you could see the votes of everybody posted publicly until after the poll closed…

Obviously for clarity the votes need to be public at some point.

You could change your vote to manipulate the contest for instance to play for a tie and to keep it going you could choose the same as other people and if it loses but you all pick the same the contest continues…

It just doesn’t seem like it was done this way previous years here, and other contests I’ve been in the poll has remained secret until it is closed.

I guess it’s just more information to base your pick on, but it just seems like I’m peeking at somebody else’s poker hand before they have tabled it.

Seems like with this verbiage below we are going back to not showing Yay!

Thou shalt not confirm nor deny anything…

I mean the week 3 poll literally says it will be shown once closed…

No need to take anything to the team when the team or whoever set-up the week 3 poll has it set to not be revealed as they are already doing what you say you would bring them.

No offense but some your responses come off as well-intentioned AI…almost comprehending entirely, but not giving the fullest of answers. Not as bad as dealing with bovada email support :blush:

Of course I never use email support. I rely on the mods in here who are very competent and provide true customer service.

Hi @threeouts , appreciate you pointing that out. You’re right—the Week 3 poll is already set up so results won’t be shown until the poll closes when I made it, which is the correct format for me and I will be sticking with this since the original host mod is not around. That way, everyone can make their picks independently, and transparency is still there once the poll wraps up.

Furthermore, to be honest I am using grammatically to express my word correctly as english is not my native language to construct it correctly and deliver it more with clarity.

Question I looked over the rules but I couldn’t find anything on this but does the prize have any rollover requirements?

Good question! In all the past years, it was just a cash deposit into your account, not a bonus with any rollover requirement. Let’s hope they don’t start doing that this year!

Well…and let’s hope it matters to us and we’re not watching on the sidelines when it ends!

Who should I vote for this week? I miss the old NFL when there was clear dominance. Today no team is safe. For example minnesota vikings couldn’t advance the ball 8 yards yesterday. And it seemed to me that their offensive line was putting their quarterback through some sick sack-the-rookie hazing ritual

That is why you need to analyz each team and pick the right one @pokerjoker2000 , it is quite a bit hard but I know for sure you will make it. :mechanical_arm:
