This was resettled.
Thank you!
HiāRe 23051745460099 and 23051745460098, these wagers were cricket match specials in a match where the second batting innings (Chennai) only had 15/20 (75%) scheduled overs due to a rain delay at the start of the second innings (https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/indian-premier-league-2023-1345038/gujarat-titans-vs-chennai-super-kings-final-1370353/full-scorecard).
These bets were graded a loss, but seems like they should have been been voided according to rule 35a of the Bovada cricket rules: āIn limited overs matches, bets will be void if it has not been possible to complete at least 80% of the scheduled overs in either innings due to external factors, including bad weather, unless settlement has been determined before the reduction.ā (e.g., since there were only 75% of the scheduled overs in an inning due to bad weather and settlement of the wager was not determined before the reduction).
Thanks much for your time and assistance!
Hey, checking.
@randneo the wagers will stand as a loss as you placed them on Gujarat Titans. They played all 20 innings without issues. Reduced innings had Channai Super Kings, the other team.
Hi DominicāThanks for the prompt response! Your reply correctly mentions that Gujarat batted their full 20 overs while Chennai only batted 15 overs, but these bets involved the innings of each team (e.g., āeach team to score 160+ā) so the bets would be settled based on the outcome of each teamās innings, not just Gujaratās.
Bovada cricket rule 35a anticipates this possibility since it specifies that ābets will be void if it has not been possible to complete at least 80% of the scheduled overs in either innings due to external factorsā. Since it was not possible to complete at least 80% of the overs in one of the two innings, this Bovada rule seems to indicate that the bets should be voided regardless whether Gujarat or Chennai had won the match. Itās totally clear that the match moneyline bet I placed on Gujarat to win (23051745460097) was correctly graded as a loss despite the reduction in Chennaiās innings, but rule 35a seems to indicate that these two specified cricket special bets would be void.
Apologies if Iām misreading this ruleāplease let me know your interpretation if soā¦
Thanks again!
Totally understand your point; however, the team was able to meet the 170 as you had in your line only reason you lost is due to Gujarat not winning the match. This would make your wagers be correctly settled as a loss.
Nice job Mike

Somebody please help i cant make a new post about this because o dont know how
Please spread this around i need help
Checking on this already.
Thanks for the explanation, Mikey! So just for future reference when making these types of bets, Bovada cricket rule 35a means that this bet would have been graded a winner had I bet Chennai (instead of Gujarat) and both teams >= 170 runs, even though the match was shortened so that Chennaiās innings only had 15 overs (75% of the scheduled total)?
Thanks againāthis bulletin board works great for getting definitive resolutions of these sorts of questionsā¦
If the bet was on Chennai then it should be settled as a winner.
Hello. Can you please have them void these wagers as Harper did not play. Thanks. Ref. 23051746598419. Ref. 23051746598420
It doesnāt matter if Harper didnāt play if one of the players played in the bet itās an active bet
Ok buddy thx for the input
Thatās why it says at the bottom. Players must start for bet to have action
Game was abandoned due to technical issues. Via your esports rules, this is a live bet that will now be delayed more than 4 hrs, resulting in a push. Itās definitely not a loss however, if anything the other team forfeited
@rpgray the wager is unsettled for now. The game will continue and the wager settled based on the official results.
