bovada, you graded this incorrectly.

Checking right now.

Due to the fact that there was a Walkover the risk was returned. Walkovers are not counted as wins or losses for either player, and they are not included on the players’ records.

when did you change that???
you can clearly see my player was dominating. the other player quit.

the reason i bet tennis on here , is because you previously honored these situations as wins.

are you really going to cheat me out of $25 USD ???

As per our rules: In the event of a match starting but not being completed, all bets will be void unless the result of the wager has already been determined.

There was no winner determined.

thats a robotic response. you didn’t even address, how you previously honored these as wins.

keep your $25.

this is disgusting way to operate business, change rules whenever you want, without notifcation.

goodbye

We will check with the Sports Team once more; however the rules have not changed.

Was advise that the wager is settled correctly.

Along with the wikipedia page already posted, here are a few other sources that give the correct definition of “tipping point.” I suspect you will not be able to find any reliable sources defining it the way you are trying to grade it.

https://abcnews.go.com/538/2024-election-single-tipping-point-state/story?id=114339944

" This group of battlegrounds is very likely to provide us with the eventual “tipping-point” state in the 2024 presidential election. If we line up each state (and the congressional districts in Maine and Nebraska) by how large the margin of victory is for the winner of that state — from most Democratic to most Republican, or vice versa — the tipping point is the contest that hands the Electoral College winner the clinching 270th electoral vote."

https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/politics/analysis/2023/08/01/wisconsin-could-be-the-electoral-college-tipping-point-in-2024/70477587007/

"Instead, it refers to the state that pushes the winner past the finish line, supplying the final votes he or she needs to reach a majority of 270 in the Electoral College.

This is calculated by ranking every state and the District of Columbia from reddest to bluest (or vice versa) based on their popular vote margin, then identifying the state in between those poles whose electoral votes are the difference between winning and losing. "

From the kalshi market rules: https://kalshi.com/markets/tippingpoint/tipping-point-jurisdiction

“The Underlying for this Contract is the jurisdiction in election year that is the
Tipping Point Jurisdiction. The Tipping Point Jurisdiction shall be that which provides the
Electoral College Winner with the 270th Electoral College vote, after progressively summing up
such votes by jurisdiction. Such summation shall start with the jurisdiction that the Electoral
College Winner wins by the largest percentage vote margin over the second-place finisher in that
jurisdiction, down to the jurisdiction that the Electoral College Winner wins by the smallest
percentage margin of the popular vote over the second-place finisher in that jurisdiction.”

There are obviously many more examples. At best you are using a highly highly nonstandard definition of tipping point with language that in no way makes it clear.

Hi @sicdrag,

Happy to have you back, it’s been about 5 years since your last post.

Seeing that PA was called before WI, therefore WI was considered the tipping point.

Again, that is not the definition of tipping point that anyone else uses. Please read the above sources

Terms of art have meanings. if you are going to use one with a highly nonstandard definition, you need better language than “State that will give the winner their 270th electoral vote.” That is no way incompatible with the standard definition as stated in the sources above. In fact several of the definitions use similar language. Any reasonable person reading that market would understand it to mean the standard definition, as every other sportsbook and marketplace is using.

If a player bet on u1 interceptions for a quarterback, without additional rules making it clear, it would be highly unreasonable for a sportsbook to grade it as a loss because the QB had 0 interceptions and 1 fumble.

In case we are talking past each other, just to be clear, in each and every one of those sources, the ordering of states is determined by the MARGIN OF VICTORY in the state, and NOT the order in which it was called by the media. Among other things, the second definition is not even well defined, as each media organization may call states in different orders and at different times.

I get what you are referencing however this was already escalated and the Sports Team determined that it would be Wisconsin.

In wagering, when I place a bet and win really should be paid not find out after the fact it considered a late wager.

If bovada has the bet available to wager in and it post as a bet it should be honored.

Feeling cheated when you win a bet is not a good thing.

How do I know when a bet is late, I’m using your website?

Fix your website, that burden falls on Bovada !!!

Please provide the reference number for the wager you are referring to.

I got 2 for you

Ref. 24112019769631
Ref. 24112019776176

Will have these escalated.

Appreciate your help
