On review this is actually the correct grading of the wager. As you selected action in regards to pitching changes, the odds were automatically updated to reflect the pitching change. This is shown in the details as For Pittsburgh Pirates J Quintana IS OUT, in his place Z Thompson will start.
Ok so when i put action it means the line will move if the starting pitcher changes? I thought putting action meant you automatically place that bet no matter pitching changes
Yes, you are actually correct as well. Action means you are automatically placing the bet regardless of any pitching changes but the lines of that game may change. Youâd automatically accept the pitching change and the new lines with the âActionâ option. If you chose no action, your bet wouldâve been nulled and it would just a push.

Yes, I think that is correct. Youâd only accept the new line if there was a pitching change that caused this. I donât think your bet should change at all if there is no pitching change.

This would be the Action option. If you see in the drop down, and letâs say you chose Wainwright, that means if Wainwright does not start, your bet gets No Action and the bet becomes void. If you chose âBoth Pitchersâ, that means if both do not start, you get no action. If you choose Action, this means your bet will stand regardless of both pitchers starting or not so youâre basically just betting on the game with no regards to who starts pitching for both teams.
So then why did my line move if i clicked action? Does it automatically move because a new pitcher plays but bet stands? Ive never ever had this happen to me and i bet baseball for years now. Im just wondering if theres a button where i bet the game and no matter the pitchers or anything the line stands
That would not work because the line will move if the pitcher changes. If the pitcher doesnât change, the line you bet on should be the same.

So for instance, letâs say you chose the Cardinals to win tonight at +134 with Action being selected and Wainwright and Wheeler being the projected pitchers.
- Since you chose Action, your bet will not void and will play regardless of who starts pitching for either team.
- If Phillies pitcher Wheeler suddenly canât start because he had an emergency and Ranger Suarez was named the new starter prior to the game starting, the odds would shift and your bet will automatically accept those new odds. So it might change to Cardinals at +110 now because Suarez is not as good of a pitcher.
- To understand this more clearly, think of this example. If you chose Dodgers to win and Kershaw was the starting pitcher but he was scratched last minute for Homer Simpson, the odds would definitely change from say -200 to +300000. Do you think it would be fair to have your bet stand on the Dodgers because you chose Action and yet your odds stand at -200 with Homer Simpson as the starting pitcher now? No, youâd get the +300000 odds now because the pitcher is MUCH worse than Kershaw.
