Trump at -185. He was +125 two months ago. That’s crazy. Seems extreme. Wonder what has changed.

Odds of.blue wall states are favoring trump at this time

Reality is if Harris wins…Trump won’t accept it. And the bets could be held for a long time by Bovada.

Your hilarious. You should get a job in the media.

all it means people are putting more money on Trump … but really nothing has changed.

Its the polls. He beat hillary when down in polls. This time he is ahead in top battle ground states. Assumption is he will win.

Which means nothing. Most legitimate polls have Harris ahead in all battleground states except one. They’re all extremely close. But like I said polls means nothing.

What? Go to realclearpolitics.com. legit site aggregating polls. Trump ahead in every battle ground state. Thats why last i checked he was -195. Your tv must be stuck on msnbc. Lol

And it does not mean nothing. There is something to the groundswell on trump support rising. We will see in a week.

I own a small logistics business & have for 15 years. My best revenue
years were in 2018-2020. After that, it’s been downhill. And the reason
for that is, the overall economy is down, no matter what the mainstream
media tries to tell ya. The # of full truckload shipments being shipped is
down an average of 30-40% in the midwest & upper midwest, which is
the area of the country I focus my business on.
So of course, I hope Trump wins.
But imo, there’s no way the dems allow that to happen. I hope I’m wrong
but, they’ve had 4 years and little resistence to figure out how to take
advantage of the lax voting laws. Heck, in some states they’re allowing
non US citizens to vote & in some states, no ID is required. And then you
have Arizona saying it could take between 10-13 days to get the final results.
That’s just insane. Especially when states of Texas & Arizona which have a
larger population than AZ will have the results on election night.

I cant see Trump losing this time and if he does we all know why :+1:

I think ā€œthe economyā€ is far too broad a concept to say whether it’s up/ down/good_ bad

On every economy there are areas that thrive and areas that struggle. Those things tend to cycle on their own with very very little direct correlation to governmental policy especially federally

Most direct economic impact that derives from government is based on local/ state policy

In general people tend to credit/ blame federal policy for farrrrrrr too much economically

In a free market there’s ostensibly nothing that DC does that impacts economic matters that the citizens care about

Tax rates are almost solely meaningful to the business owner not their workers and even with higher taxation of corporate tax structure has so many looopholes and subsidies that is really irrelevant if you’ve got the most recent version of turbo tax downloaded lol

People tend to be overly concerned with federal elections and not concerned enough with state/ local

Of course there are rare exceptions to everything but they are just that. Rare. And even with those exceptions there’s almost always much more to the story than " DC did it to me" as the economy is a living and breathing thing with dozens if not hundreds of factors that go into it

so you think Trump tariffs will improve those overseas shipments to your business? lol… I also own a small business, and my business is doing well with Biden. Under Trump I almost lost my business because of Covid but I’m not blaming Trump. I’m blaming covid… but yeah Trump could’ve handled the pandemic a lot better.

I measure the economy by how money yields in my pockets. Immediately post covid I started doing better than ever workwise (I work as an independent contractor). Aside from making more money than I was previously making doing the same work, I was able to do so much more with my money. What I get with $250-300 worth of groceries today, I was able to get with $120-180 or so. My electricity bill has gone from $150 (the highest) to $430+ steady. Though gas has come down the last few months about .70-.80cents, it’s still much higher now and that hurts my business a great deal. I was living mad comfortable despite the whole covid ordeal. I was able to put money aside for savings. I was just about ready to purchase a home. I wasn’t aiming for anything big or fancy, I would have been happy with what some $250k would have gotten me then. Now, I’d be lucky to get a shack with that budget.

I’m a lifetime democrat who will be voting for Trump and will never vote democrat ever again. I would need to start seeing a change in all the major cities democrats have had a hold of for years for me to even glance my sight that way again. The economy is just a fraction of all the things democrats are getting wrong in the direction they’re taking this nation. I say this as a first generation descendant from immigrant parents who came here legally and worked hard to earn their place in this country. I know first hand the American dream my parents came searching for and it is slipping off our hands. What my parents were able to achieve back when I was a child with just a minimum wage income is not achievable today even when there’s two people working multiple jobs in a household. Something has got to change. My point with all this is that just like me, there are many people like me that have left the left. But I don’t hear of people leaving the right. Trump supporters are still Trump supporters. I have a feeling the results of this election are going to shock America.

I won’t be shocked either way

Its pretty much a toss up

The electoral college always makes it much easier for the R to win so if probably go shot 53% odds Trump wins

The D candidate needs to win nationally by about 3-4% to win the electoral college and right now Harris is about 2.5% up which just historical isn’t enough but there is no real way to determine those kinds of numbers to any real certainty

I personally don’t care who wins

My success or failures in life have never had nor will ever have anything to do with the resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave

Most of the stuff that occurs on our country under an R POTUS would’ve also occurred under s D ( and vice versa )

Iys almost all just happenstance and luck

Like inflation was going to occur regardless of who the President was. As was Covid before it

And so on and so on
