Hey @moderators I think this is an ideal week to kick off the weekly booby prize for the worst performance of the week! How about it? I’m heading toward 1 out of 10, or 3 points. I’m thinking no one can sneak under me. I suggest a booby prize of :dollar: :coin: :moneybag: $1,000, but I’m open to negotiations. :money_mouth_face:

Likely you’re relying on your big brain to help you decide who’s going to win. Whereas you should be rolling the dice. Me? I close my eyes, I scroll the screen, I press my finger on the screen, and whatever I land on I go with it. It has dramatically improved my odds.

I just hit 6 wins using this formula on this challenge. I lost one on the river - Monaco vs Toulouse due to Monaco conceding the lead at the 89th minute or so

Excellent suggestion! Decades ago I used Forbes magazine’s method of picking stocks: tack the Dec. 31st Wall Street Journal to a corkboard and throw 10 darts. Their dart board fund often outperformed most actively managed mutual funds.

I used that method until I got my first personal computer and after I displayed the stocks, I learned a painful lesson: darts don’t stick to a computer screen. :disappointed_relieved:

But seriously, I use all sorts of methods, and sometimes I’m near the bottom, sometimes near the top, and occasionally cash. Sadly, Toulouse scored in the 90th minute to tie the late game and land me the draw I picked, so I ended up hitting on 2 of my picks. I no longer feel “special.” Surely there are others who sucked as bad as I did this week. But I’m fine with chopping the $1,000, assuming that the mods are OK with it!

For whatever reason this truly cracked me up :joy::joy:.

The same is true some times in sports. Over thinking is the enemy of brilliance And fate

The truth is hitting 1 out of 10 (assuming you can’t pick over 30% tie) is actually extremely difficult

True confession: I wasn’t trying to be that bad!!!

Haha, we appreciate the humor and the competitive spirit @StndrDeviant

While we don’t have a “booby prize” in place, it definitely sounds like it’s been a rough week. Hopefully things turn around for you soon, and your luck shifts in the right direction! :four_leaf_clover:
