This was very confusingly run btw
The pill listed as closed much much earlier greatest than is being said
And i don’t get why people had to opt in or why comments were enabled at all if opting in or commenting wasn’t how to enter the contest
Maybe next time just have the opt in feature and dialer the comments until you open the actual voting abd you can tag everyone
I specificallyc waited until it said the pill was closed at the bottom yet i don’t see myself tagged either

While this might seem confusing, it is the best way to ensure fairness for everyone. It shows that you posted 1 hour ahead before the poll closed. That is why I have to disqualify you.
We are not just giving away $5; the prize is $100 to one winner. If no one wins with their pick, the prize will go to someone who strictly followed the rules. That is why these rules are applied.

I concur. Anytime there is a comp where I have to think I’m in big trouble.
That’s fine. Its a free comp si is whatever. My point was just thatc it went from saying
“Poll willv close” at the bottom of the screen to " topic will close" which is when i (:and others ) made our picks
All of this could’ve been avoided by disabling comments until you were ready for themn to count
Having five a ton of comps myself iv get the need to follow rules it’s just not necessary to make them so convoluted

The issue is that there isn’t an option to disable comments only. The only way to prevent comments is to close the topic, but once the topic is closed, voting is no longer possible. That’s why I clearly stated in the rules that entries would only be accepted once the poll was closed, as this was the only way to manage participation fairly.
