Yeah I didn’t buy the failed update. If that were the case then any real tech team would have a backup/disaster recovery instance readily available. Not really sure I buy the cyber attack story either but it does make sense the way the site is acting. My prediction in the other thread was that ISP’s are actively trying to block the site and they’re constantly moving it around to mirror sites which is why the routing across different pages and live lines and scores seem to continually screw up. Could very well be the beginning of the end for US players on here… at this point it’s sensible to speculate as much, even though bovada obviously isn’t about to say it. I hope not because I enjoy playing on the site and it is very convenient, but the way the rewards system changes, they do not listen to the customer at all, and the obvious lack of communication or way to contact management are all glaring negatives that need to be fixed.
I am sorry to hear that the recent issues are due to cyber attacks. I find it scary that this is happening. I been on Bovada for many years and this recent outage and issues with the site and the games has never happend like that before. I always enjoyed the site and even preferred it over real life casinos. I hope they are able to get back to the way it used be. It would be disappointing if I had to leave for good.
My humble opinion. Bovada should be providing people rewards points each week this goes on with the same amount as last weeks reward points. Once this is attack is dealt with compensation happens.
man, i hope this isn’t the work of uncle sam.
" In its most aggressive effort yet, the American Gaming Association on Thursday released a letter sent to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland calling on the Department of Justice to crack down — hard — on illegal offshore books. The AGA’s written request specifically singles out Bovada, MyBookie, and BetOnline as companies that “openly violate federal and state laws.”

I imagine they didn’t want to unnecessarily worry people, but since it’s continued for so long, maybe it was time to address it?
Yep that’s why they are constantly telling you nothing’s wrong and keep depositing. It’s a money grab until legalized states come along in online gaming and sports betting. Imagine all the rigged and shady stuff that’s going on. Bovada was trusted without a license since 2016. Why do you think they threw up that we are licensed by curacao? Please continue to deposit while we are under attack which will lead to the attack shut us down and run off with your money.
Yup I work for, probably top 5 highest revenue cybersecurity company in the world. Hit the nail on the head on the surprise. They either weren’t running these compliance tests/audits, because an offshore site wouldn’t have to be SOC 2 or PCI certified. They also probably cheaped out on cybersecurity software which led to this.
Someone mentioned the google hack earlier. When the major one happened in 2017 from China, they also made extreme changes to their Azure DDoS prevention software, that minimizes attacks to this day, rarely if ever goes through, and when it does is combated and resolved very quickly. This software can go for about 2.5k a month. And there is similar software out there as well.

All true, but let’s give credit where credit is due, they’ve made like 3 different banners for the site…IT prowess at work.
I imagine it’s because they didn’t want people withdrawing there funds since they knew the site was compromised and also wanted people to be in the dark so they continue to deposit.
Yeah - a sales call from Bovada while the site isn’t working and we deposit at our own risk? Makes perfect “cents” to them (not to me).
Yup, was thinking the same, no way it’s DDOS, felt more like they’re moving stuff around. And, if it’s indeed related to ISP’s, then we are in for a ride. I would advise to withdraw any money out of here
Thank you @moderators for all you do. You definitely have a thankless job. I would thank Bovada as a company but they should have come out with this a week in not almost two. I understand the motives behind the delay. People are far too uninformed to understand what the issue is. Fear 'cyberattack" will cause panic in a large percentage of users.
Secondly, I understand that as a whole the site as been working fairly well for days. However, if you issued mass comps on a Friday(Weekend) it would be chaos as users would flood the site and your CS reps. So I assume you guys will issue something early in the week when people are working to hopefully curtail the masses bombarding the site. Plus you need as adequate staffing as possible.
I wish both players and Bovada the best cause its gonna be crazy early next week. Haha
This made me LOL for real
yup couldn’t agree more
Let me start of by saying That you guys should not have waited (2 Weeks) And left us in the dark wondering what was going on to just now admit the truth. I have had nothing but issues these past few weeks , As i am sure other players have also. I do not appreciate the fact this was hidden from us all this time. And really makes me question the trust level for you now. Support blew me off several times on the chat saying they are no issues and to clear my cookies and cache and acted like they was no issues at hand and refuse to refund me .We deserve to know more than what was provided to us. When will this issue be fixed ? And the fact you are holding out on compensating us is beyond my understanding. All this does is just makes us think twice about ever wanting to deposit and play here again. If something is not done in a positive way that makes all of us happy i may not ever deposit here again. I am just saying you guys went about this in the wrong way and we deserve more than what is currently being given. Glad you guys finally admitted the truth and that is good but not telling us for several weeks is a bad thing. Hopefully these issues get resolved soon and everyone is happy.
How do we know they are telling truth? They can do whatever they want in reality.
ummm…I noticed that my post has been apparently deleted. I posted three links that were articles posted within the last week about the aga and them looking to crack down on sites like bovada, mybookie, betonline for people to read.
I skimmed through it right after you posted it… Pretty interesting, we shall see in the coming months if they succeed @Flembim69
LoL u can not use links and outside information that is detrimental to them and their business. You must go on what they are saying and not other outside information from other websites. You are breaking their terms of service while they break your pockets. Please make a deposit immediately for a chance at a bonus LOL
I’m still trying to wrap my head around Bovada being hacked (maybe by uncle ■■■■ing Sam) or by other outside sources the last couple weeks (maybe longer), them still having their outbound sales team call and text people asking to deposit during all this, live chat cs agents all on different pages, no word on future comps. There’s so many red flags here right now that it’s insane
