And it did take the buy in just now. I’m done with this BS either fix your shit show of a site or shut it down!

buddy don’t take this the wrong way but if you’re still playing poker on this site knowing it’s (supposedly) being attacked then it’s on you. these mfs don’t care about your feelings or they would’ve shut the site down the minute the “attack” started affecting the site.
Trust me I definitely didn’t deposit anymore just playing from the bets I hit but still pisses me off.
No deposits from me since 5/9/22"""…

As an elder statesman of the community I am surprised yet nor surprised at a lot of the comments in this thread and many others when it comes to downtime.
When I read people say, come on GIVE ME compensation now, I don’t want to wait how hard is it to do?
I sit and think, are these people broke and the only way they can play is with compensation?
I then read others saying, I can’t play because I won’t deposit into Bovada because of the situation currently and I want compensation first.
Let’s get this straight, you have money you want to deposit but won’t because you won’t get compensation but are mad because you can’t play. You do realize there are other sites to deposit your money into and play. You’re the only one stopping you from playing and compensation or not, that’s a cop out.
This is a complex situation when it comes to compensation simply because people come out of the wood work when they think they can get free money. There are a lot of people and likely in this thread or others that haven’t made a deposit in ages and their account balance is zero or under a dollar and it’s been that way for awhile. These are the people that typically bark the loudest and stir it up for others to come aid their cause.
Now on to Bovada Management…
Whether they should’ve come out and said what took place last week, today or whenever that’s not the moderators call. The moderators are employed by Bovada, they aren’t the owners, they aren’t the upper management team. They follow the orders given to them and that’s it. They don’t have the power to just randomly give people “compensation” because someone is bitching about it.
DDOS attacks aren’t unusual offshore. Simply because offshore operations typically don’t utilize the kind of protection big companies use in the states.
Doesn’t anyone remember back in 2020 when Betonline and Sportsbetting
got hit with DDos attacks?
Party Poker was hit, how about back in 2018 when the largest online poker room was attacked by the same issue. I’m sure you’ve heard of Poker Stars.

None of these companies offered a dime in compensation to any of their players. Only those in poker tournaments got money back from their buy ins and were prorated based on their standings in the tournament.
To make it 100% clear, DDos attacks don’t have anything to do with your account info or your balances. This kind of attack isn’t centered around that. What it is centered around is to have an effect on the site and how it operates.
If you’ve ever encountered a DDos attack as a company owner, it’s not fun. I’ve been through this situation, it’s stressful, it’s not fun and it’s a PR nightmare.
Players are helpless because they can’t do a thing and get concerned over their funds and the availability to the site. Management knows this and yes they could’ve come out earlier with an explanation to try to smooth things over a lot earlier. But look at the responses here, on twitter and elsewhere…
Where’s our compensation?
Some will get this post, others won’t but look I’m not taking managements side nor sticking up for them. It’s a bad situation for them, it’s worse for us. I get it. Let it all play out and see where it goes, if after they make the gesture to do whatever it is they do and you don’t like it ( which you won’t ) then have at it. But until then, they’ve made it clear nothing is going to happen until after the weekend. So let’s wait and see what transpires.
I’m a PM or e-mail away if you need assistance.
CARPE DIEM
sp it took you a month to tell us this what bullshit this is. i will not make another deposit till you tell me it is fixed and working like before all this happened im sure the hackers now have all out information i cant they

Props for tellin it like it is
i agree totally
You really want compensation, huh?
Yeah I mean you comparing poker stars to Bovada? That’s not fair or a good comp, even Bovada wouldn’t agree. Bovada markets themselves as THE best in class online casino and sportsbook. Hell yes comps are expected. I’m surprised a veteran of wagering would disagree with that?!!! It’s how this wagering world operates.
long ass post i didn’t read all but i’m sure it was logical… however the logical/sensible crew in this community aren’t the ones begging for comps. we simply want to know what kind of reputable business/site would continue to advertise for you to deposit with them when the site is under cyber attack… much less wait two weeks to tell your customers you’re being attacked. red flags everywhere whether you’re too blind to see because of your “loyalty”.
What is up with the DAMN PANAMA CALLS! YOU SAY PERSONAL INFO WAS NOT COMPROMISED!
@Money2Burn75 Where did I ever stated I disagreed with compensation?
There wasn’t any comparison being done with any of the sites, they are all BIG well known sites like Bovada and experienced the same kind of attack before.
They unlike Bovada didn’t give a dime for compensation so if Bovada is giving any amount it is better than what the others did.
I’m not going to show up with flaming torches and be chanting GIVE ME COMPENSATION OR ELSE. Because what am I going to do if they do nothing and give nothing? Am I going to burn down the internet and go scorched earth on them? Will you or anyone else?
They don’t have to do a thing, the other sites didn’t and look they are all still in operation and didn’t go anywhere. Life moved on and players need to do the same. There are countless choices and Bovada is one of many. I don’t depend on Bovada as my only out or choice to place wagers. If they are down or not, they don’t get my business exclusively. Neither should anyone else and Bovada Management probably doesn’t like me saying it, but it’s the truth of the matter.
@JarrettS it doesn’t matter to me if I get it or not. If I do great, if I don’t it’s not the end of the world. I’ll live and so will everyone else. Was I inconvenienced? Sure but I’ve been inconvenienced at the grocery store and didn’t demand free groceries. I had a choice deal with it or go elsewhere. Same holds true here.
It’s not personal to me, it’s just business as it should be with everyone that does business whether here, the grocery store or your local restaurants.
Just saying, give them the chance to make it right if they choose to.
@eldoogarino Loyalty has nothing to do with my posts.
I keep getting calls too
I gotcha my friend. As I said in my post I have had blind faith in Bovada given them many dollars, they’ve treated me very well until maybe 6 months ago…something just seems off this time and on the heels of the December outage this has been handled so much worse it’s confusing to me.
I agree with you I really hope we are surprised and Bovada takes care of us next week. But again from a business standpoint I can’t believe they’d wait for next week….
Y’all are crazy if you still try to defend any of bovadas disgusting actions lately or deposit to this broken ass Site, been taken my business elsewhere since 5/26 and will continue to do so unless we are compensated appropriately because I have morals. Have a backbone and don’t give these frauds a penny
Yeah it’s embarrassing. I’ve been a Bovada user since 2008-2009 as well and I’ve never thought more about jumping ship than I have these last couple weeks
